Indian Home minister Rajnath Singh has said that India will never incite an attack against any other country but won’t hold back either if provoked.

“India never attacks anyone and we do not intend to occupy others’ land. Our heritage is Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam – meaning the whole world is one. We never fire first but in retaliation, we never count bullets after pulling the trigger,” he said addressing the Border Security Force (BSF) personnel on the second day of his visit to Rajasthan.

Singh, who visited BSF’s Munabao Border Outpost, assured the security personnel that the government will do everything to improve the border infrastructure and their service conditions.

He said damaged fencing will be repaired and floodlighting and a parallel road along the border fencing will be completed to facilitate effective patrolling.

He also said the home ministry will address the shortage of bullet proof jackets and also consider procuring lighter jackets.

Expressing concern over the shortage of drinking water facility at some of the outposts, the home minister said the government will consider providing piped water to all the border outposts.
