Afghan President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani has thanked Pakistan’s pledge of further $ 500 million economic assistance to Afghanistan at the Brussels Conference, which demonstrated Pakistan’s solidarity and support for the government and people of Afghanistan.

The president suggested that the two governments should work together to identify the projects in consultation with the Afghan government according to its development priorities.

President Ghani also appreciated the announcement of a second tranche of 3,000 scholarships for Afghan students in Pakistan’s universities, which would greatly help in institution building in Afghanistan.

The President and Pakistani National Security adviser also discussed efforts for peace and reconciliation in Afghanistan.

Emphasizing that lasting peace and stability could be achieved through a politically negotiated settlement, Sartaj commended Afghan government and people for concluding a peace deal with Hizb-e-Islami.  He expressed hope and optimism that this development could lead to opportunities for similar peace arrangements with other insurgents.

  1. Feeding the snakes. Pakistan should really stop giving Aid to Afghanistan, they’re not our allies (if you’ve been following the news and properly following history) – time will come a time when they will betray us. Better to sever all ties with those who are unthankful. They voted against our entry in UN, they congratulated India on attacking Pakistan. If you can’t take a hint, Pakistan will suffer for our bigotry.

  2. Afghanistan should refuse Pakistan's offer, because the Pakistani government and it's ISI are not honest. on one hand showing the world a good face and on the other hand supplying supporting the terrorists to cause problems for both Afghanistan and India. Pakistan itself is begging for help from other countries then howcome wants to help Afghanistan. Pakistan is doing it because India supports Afghanistan a lot and they do not want to be left behind, but they do not understand that can not compete with India.
If Pakistan really wants to help Afghanistan they should stop supporting Taliban and ISIS, spend this amount of money to destroy the save heaven of Taliban inside it's soil. PAKISTAN NEVER BEEN A HONEST COUNTRY. IT HAS TWO FACES, SHOWING THE WORLD ONE FACE AND SHOWING THE TERRORESTS ANOTHER FACE (EVIL)
