National off-spinner Saeed Ajmal on Saturday has come out to support cricket with India.

Talking to media in Muzaffarabad, Saeed Ajmal said, “Tensions can be overcome if both states play their positive role.”

“Strained relations between India and Pakistan can be surmounted by cricket,” he added.

The bowler said that the optimistic ties with India would surely be helpful in attaining peace in the region.

The leader of the ruling BJP in India Anurag, in a recent statement last week said that there was no question of playing cricket with Pakistan.

On the other hand, batting Legend Javed Miandad slammed Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) President Anurag Thakur’s statement saying Pakistan should not bother about playing with India as it is always India who have backstabbed Pakistan whenever it comes to playing cricket.

“BCCI is full of such type of people, who for their own benefit can get down to your feet but when their interests are fulfilled they pretend like they don’t know you,” he said.
