Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider said wars bring nothing except destruction.

Addressing the Lahore High Court Bar Association on Thursday, he said Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi wanted to isolate Pakistan.

“Modi is in trouble due to China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC),” he added.

“Being a Kashmiri, I believe in the speech delivered by Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif,” the AJK president added.

He said whatever being done in Kashmir is shameful.

“The Uri incident is self-created. India carries out incidents like Pathankot and Uri to divert the attention of the international community from Kashmir,” PM Haider said.

He further said the lawyers belonging to Lahore had played their role for democracy.

“We salute the struggle of the lawyers. Pakistan was established on democratic basis. It is a matter of honour for lawyers that the person who created Pakistan was a lawyer,” he maintained.

He said the CPEC project is a symbol of a strong Pakistan.

“India is not digesting the CPEC project,” he added.
