At least four people were killed when gunmen attacked a house in Nawazo Jagher area on Monday.
Gunmen entered a house and opened indiscriminate fire on the family members killing four at the spot. The assailants fled the scene leaving victims in a pool of blood. All the deceased were members of the same family including father, two sons and his granddaughter.
The deceased were identified as Abdul Rasheed, Inayat Ullah, Muhammad Wali and Sumera. Eye witnesses said the attackers were 12 in number. SSP Sajid Hussain said the killings seemed to be a result of an old enmity.
Police have launched a search operation against the assailants after registering a case.
