The Lahore High Court (LHC) admitted for hearing a petition seeking court’s orders for stopping Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan from staging sit-in in Raiwind.

A single bench of LHC led by Justice Shahid Karim took up for hearing the petition filed by local lawyer Farooq Sattar.

AK Dogar, counsel for the petitioner, took the plea that threat for a clash between political parties remains there if dharna is staged in Raiwind on September 24.

He prayed the court to stop Imran Khan from staging sit-in on September 24 in Raiwind.

The LHC issued notices to federal government and Imran Khan for September 15.
