United Kingdom’s Special Representative to Pakistan and Afghanistan Owen Jenkins met Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif at the General Headquarters the other day.
According to a press release by Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), matters of regional security and mutual interest came under discussion during the meeting between Owen Jenkins and General Raheel Sharif.
The British envoy lauded Pakistan’s efforts and achievements in the war against terrorism and contribution for the region’s peace and stability.
Very heartening to see that at least the Britishres acknowledge Pakistani efforts in fight against terrorism. We have been in this war as a support for our so-called ally for over two decades and what we get in turn from the Americans is the ‘Do More’ mantra. After the latest defense deals with India, it would be quite interesting to see how India deals with American’s unlimited demands.
