The government approved PC-1 for the construction of Islamabad District Jail building and released funds amounting to Rs 200 million on this count.
According to sources in chief commissioner office, land has been acquired in Bhadana Kalan area New Town police jurisdiction while boundary wall of the jail has also been constructed.
However, the grant of Rs 200 million released by the federal government will not be enough to complete the construction of the building and Rs 160 million more will be required for accomplishment of this project.
