The Punjab Food Authority (PFA) sealed a departmental store involved in selling spurious and substandard food items here on Friday.
A team of PFA headed by Director Operations Ayesha Mumtaz raided a departmental store in Shadman Market of the provincial capital Lahore.
The PFA sealed the departmental store after it was found involved in selling spurious and substandard food items.
Mumtaz said that the store possessed no record of sale and purchase of chicken and mutton meat and outdated spices were repacked there which were seized.
She said that an investigation was underway and strict action will be taken against the owner and administration of the said departmental store.
