The Tehsil Municipal Administration (TMA) of Rawal Town under its grand operation against encroachments confiscated four truckloads goods of 41 shopkeepers while fines were imposed on 35 shopkeepers.
According to TMA Rawal Town spokesman, the enforcement staff under the supervision of town officer regulation, superintendent and inspectors conducted raids at Murree Road, Raja Bazaar, Liaquat Road, Commercial Market, Rawal Road and other areas and imposed fines on 35 encroachers while four truckloads goods were also confiscated and shifted to TMA store.
He said that on special directives of Rawal Town Administrator and Town Municipal Officer (TMO), raids are being conducted and the enforcement staff is taking action in accordance with the law against the encroachers.
A number of shopkeepers have also been issued warning to remove the encroachments.
The authorities concerned have urged the traders to cooperate with the TMA administration and have warned to remove the encroachments themselves, otherwise no relaxation will be given to anyone.
