Zardari asks PM to end political confrontation: report

Former president Asif Ali Zardari has sent a message to Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to end intensifying the confrontation between the Pakistan People’s Party and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz after which both party leaders have agreed to a ceasefire.

PPP Parliamentarians President Asif Zardari tried to mitigate the political bitterness caused after a press conference by Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan.

According to sources, the former president telephoned an important figure in the upper house of parliament and gave him a message for Prime Minister Sharif to end the ongoing political confrontation.

The sources said Opposition Leader in National Assembly Khursheed Shah was completely ready to respond to the presser of Ch Nisar, but suddenly Zardari sent him a message after which he kept silent.
