Sindh CM reviews law and order situation of the province

Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah reviewed overall law and order situation of the province, especially Karachi, in the wake of Quetta blast, and directed police to be alert and further strengthen security arrangements.

While presiding over a high-level meeting the Sindh CM directed that adequate security arrangements must be made so that citizens could celebrate the Independence Day free of fear.

The meeting was also attended by, Mola Bux Chandio, Murtaza Wahab, Chief Secretary Siddique Memon, Sindh IG AD Khwaja, Additional IG Mushtaq Maher, CTD Additional IG Sanaullah Abbasi, Home secretary, Commissioner Aijaz Ali Khan, provincial heads of secret agencies, representative of Rangers and other officials.

Furthermore, the Chief Minister directed IGP to strengthen the security of at all the important places and start to snap checking in the city and rest of the province.

He decided to launch a special campaign against fancy number plates, and flash/search lights installed on vehicles.

He directed the IGP to take action against the display of arms and private guards displaying weapons in civil attire.

It was decided that close coordination among all the agencies would be strengthened so that coordinated security net could be established.
