The supreme commander of Hizab-ul-Mujahiddin and chief of Muttahida Jihad Council, Syed Salahuddin, has said that martyrdom of Burhan Muzaffar Wani has raised the largest wave of freedom movement in the history of Kashmir.

Addressing a crowded press conference at the Idara Noor-e-Haq, Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) headquarters, he said that the Kashmiri people were committed to throwing out the Indian occupied forces from the valley of Jammu and Kashmir.

The gorilla commander said that despite all the sacrifices of people in Kashmir, the international community had been neglecting the issue. He strictly criticised the silence of global powers over the grave violations of human rights in Kashmir by the Indian forces.

He said the people of Kashmir had been left with no other choice but armed struggle. He further said that almost the entire population of Kashmir was on the back of their freedom fighters. He went on to says that each and every individual of the Kashmiri nation, including children and senior citizens, were ready to pick up arms, if the Modi-led Indian government failed to honour the will of Kashmiris.

On the occasion, he also criticised the Pakistani government for cold response to the cause of Kashmiri people. He demanded of the ruling regime in Pakistan to shun traditional Kashmir policy and adopt a bold stance. He also demanded of Pakistan to call off its envoys from India.

He was of the view that the Indian government and the United Nations will be responsible if the freedom movement in Kashmir takes any ugly turn. He said despite passage of 18 resolutions against India, the international community failed to resolve the issue of Kashmir.

JI Karachi Chief Engr Naeem-ur-Rehman announced that the JI, in solidarity with Kashmiri people, was going to observe a black day on August 15, while a march would be taken out Muzafarabad to Chakothi sector of border area.

  1. When the real Kasmiris (pundits) have their voices heard and can return to their native land without fear of violence perpetrated by Pakistan, then yes the Kasmiris voice will be heard. For how long will Pakistani media neglect to mention their plight? There are other Muslim majority areas in India that do not have such Indian security presence – previdkr because it is not needed. Pakistani meddling in Kashmir has resulted in the presence of such security forces and heightened sense of fear. Like the blacks in the US, who are aggressive by nature and so result in more cases of imprisonment and allegations of police abuse – so are the Pakistanis who have infiltrated India and the ill influenced Kashmiri Muslim youth. These same people wave ISIS flags and ISIS is responsible for FAR more deaths of Muslims than Indian security forces. Seems like Muslims don’t have a problem when those killing their fellow Muslims are Muslims.
