Premier says grateful to AJK people for posing trust, now it’s our responsibility to deliver

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has assured to extend all possible assistance with newly elected Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N) government in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) to improve the affairs of the state.

Talking to AJK PM Raja Farooq Haider, who called on the premier at PM House on Wednesday, PM Nawaz said, “We are enormously grateful to the people, especially for the confidence of AJK people in PML-N’s leadership and it is now our responsibility to perform and deliver.”

While congratulating Raja Farooq Haider on his election as PM of AJK, he expressed the confidence that the newly elected government will tirelessly work for the progress and prosperity of the people of the state.

“The people have overwhelmingly shown their trust in our manifesto and now it is our collective responsibility to serve them,” said the PM, and added, “Developmental and infrastructure projects must be proactively pursued and completed so that the people of AJK get the benefits of our developmental agenda.”

PM Nawaz said that merit and transparency must be maintained in the fulfilment of all public sector projects. “All developmental projects must aim at improving the life standard of the people. Better communication and network of roads will certainly open up the most beautiful areas of AJK to the world and will enhance the economic activities in the region,” said the prime minister.

Thanking the PM, Raja Farooq Haider assured him that the newly elected government of AJK will initiate all necessary steps to implement the leadership’s vision in true letter and spirit. He said that the elected government would serve the people without considering their political affiliations; as the government has the mandate for the entire AJK.
