Sindh education minister vows to eradicate copy culture

Provincial Minister for Education Jam Mehtab Hussain Dahar said that he has accepted Education Ministry as a challenge and will try his best to put the matters on right track.

He said this while presiding over the first meeting of Education Department after assuming the portfolio of education minister in his office on Monday. Education Special Secretary Mumtaz Ali Shah and Private Schools Registrar Rafia Mallah also attended the meeting. The special secretary briefed the minister about the working of the department.

He directed all the officers and teachers to observe timings strictly.

The education minister added, “Copy culture is destroying every fabric of the education system and all measures will be taken to eradicate copy culture. No negligence will be tolerated in this regard.”

He also directed that no government teacher should work in any private institution during working hours and if anyone is found doing another job, strict action would be taken against him/her. He said that having seen ground realities, he would take measures to reopen closed schools across the province and improve enrolment in government schools.
