6-day anti-polio drive concludes today

The six-day anti-polio drive in Karachi will conclude today (Saturday).

An official of the local administration said on Friday that total 8,65,000 children under the age of five would be administered polio drops during the drive.

He said on the fifth day on Friday, the Karachi commissioner along with Sindh Secretary Health Ahmed Bux Narejo visited District Malir.

The commissioner was informed in a briefing that during the first four days of the campaign over 5,79,000 children were administered polio drops. A meeting reviewed the impact of the drive and expressed satisfaction over decline in the number of left over. It was decided that efforts be further intensified to administer polio drops to the left over children.
