Three members of a family were electrocuted while two others were shifted to the hospital after injuries in Shahdara area of Lahore on Friday.
The incident occurred when a girl shifted a cot from rooftop to a nearby shed, it came in contact with live wires passing above which claimed her life on the spot.
Her father and brother rushed to save her and were electrocuted as well. Her mother and another brother arrived at the scene a little later. Both of them suffered injuries as they tried to rescue their relatives. Within minutes of the accident, electricity pole caught fire injuring a local.

The incident has come in around a week after a live wire fell into the stagnant water on Anum Road in Kot Lakhpat Division of Lahore after a rain claimed two lives.
Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif has taken notice of the tragic ending to three lives and summoned a report from the administration.
