A judicial magistrate at Cantonment courts Wednesday sent three women, arrested for shoplifting and thefts, to jail on 14-day judicial remand.
Earlier, Ghaziabad police produced the accused including Shabanum, Rabia and Kaneez before the court. The investigation officer apprised the court that the accused were involved in different theft cases.
He pleaded with the court to grant physical remand of the accused for interrogation. However, the court rejected the request and sent the accused to jail on 14-day judicial remand.
The Ghaziabad police arrested the accused on Tuesday and recovered a car, a motorcycle, gold, cash and cell-phones from their possession.
