Punjab Additional Chief Secretary (ACS) Shamail Ahmad Khawaja has directed to supply anti-dengue mosquito insecticide ‘deltamethrine 5%’ to the high risk districts of the province without further delay.
The high risk districts include Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Sheikhupura, Faisalabad and Multan.
The ACS also issued instructions to carry out indoor residual spray in each and every such household the owner of which demands anti-dengue spray in his house by contacting his relevant Town Municipal Administration.
The ACS was presiding over a video link conference on dengue prevention and control held at Civil Secretariat Lahore on Wednesday. Commissioners and DCOs of the all five high risk districts were present on the video link to apprise the provincial authorities of their activities and arrangements of disposal of stagnant rainy water in open spaces.
