The agencies on Sunday arrested 16 suspects in a search operation in Sector F-17 of the federal capital.
According to details, on intelligence reports, the agencies and police searched at least 80 houses and ten under construction buildings to find out anti-state elements, including possible terrorists.
According to reports, 100 people were interrogated while 16 were arrested during the operation.
The capital police have regularly been conducting search operations particularly in the under construction buildings and rural areas of Islamabad which are housing many Afghans. Bara Kahu, Chak Shehzad and localities near Khanna Bridge are heavily inhabited by the Afghan refugees.
