Rain-thundershower occurred at scattered places in, Islamabad Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, upper and central Punjab (Lahore, Kasur and Sargodha), Northeast Balochistan, FATA and Gilgit-Baltistan during the last 12 hours.
According to the Met office, rain-thunderstorm with heavy downpours is expected at scattered places during the next 24 hours in Kashmir, Islamabad, upper Punjab (Sargodha, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Faisalabad, Lahore divisions), Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (Malakand, Hazara, Peshawar, Mardan, Kohat, Bannu, D.I.Khan divisions), FATA and Gilgit-Baltistan while at a few places in south Punjab (Sahiwal, Multan, D.G.Khan, Bahawalpur divisions), northeast Balochistan (Zhob, Sibbi, Naseerabad divisions).
The heavy downpour may generate flash flooding and landslides in areas of Northeast Punjab, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir.
According to Pakistan Meteorological Department, D.I. Khan received 53 millimetre rain, Okara- 50 mm, Mianwali 29 mm and Faisalabad 22 millimetre.
