The CDA has appointed Assistant Director Sohail Jamil Chohan at the Parliament Lodges who was wanted to the FIA in Kachi Abadi case.

The FIA did not arrest Chohan for being a close relative of AIG Special Branch Waqar Chohan.

In pursuance of the Supreme Court orders, the CDA had started action against officials involved in facilitating and setting up illegal slums in November 2015.

The FIA registered cases against 32 employees of CDA including Chohan.

Jamil Chohan was suspended at that time as he was the AD enforcement wing and his name was included in the FIR. The FIA did not arrest him. On the other hand, the CDA appointed Chohan as AD at Parliament Lodges in violation of rules and regulations.

FIA Investigation Officer Afzal Khan Niazi told the news agency that he has now been transferred from Islamabad adding that they had arrested 38 persons including officials involved in the scam, but they were granted bail by a court.
