At least two people were killed when unknown gunmen opened fire on a Suparco’s cash-van in Sachal Goth area of the city on Tuesday.
According to details, unknown gunmen tried to loot a van near Mosamiat Chowrangi when a security shot at them, resulting in an exchange of fire. As a result, one Suparco official Idrees, and a robber died on the spot, while Suparco’s another employee Faisal Abbas sustained severe injuries in the firing. He was brought to Liaquat National Hospital (LNH) where his condition was stated to be critical.
CITIZENS BEAT UP ROBBER
Residents of Gulistan-e-Johar, Block-14 area, caught a suspected robber on Tuesday and beat him up till he fainted.
The robber was finally rescued by the police and taken to a hospital where doctors were treated him. Police have registered a case against the robber alleging that he was a proclaimed offender in many cases.
