After the tragic demise of philanthropist and humanitarian, Abdul Sattar Edhi, there have been overwhelming and vigorous demands made to the government to pay discreet tributes to Abdul Sattar Edhi.
A petition campaign has been started demanding to rename Islamabad Airport after Abdul Sattar Edhi. The petition demands to rename the airport as ‘Edhi International Airport.’
The second airport in the federal capital is expected to be completed by December 2016, and many people believe that now is the best time to kick-start a campaign to rename it after one of the country’s most well-known humanitarians.
So far around 26,993 people have already signed the petition that can be found online.
