At least eight persons including two children and women were killed while many others were injured in different areas of Mardan in rain-related incidents on Thursday.
According to PDMA officials, the casualties occurred in Pirsado, Takhtbi, Shergarh and Chamtar area of Mardan when roofs and walls collapsed due to heavy rain.
According to reports, two women and two children were also among the dead. The dead and injured were shifted to the District Headquarters Hospital.
Heavy rain and thunderstorm on Thursday hit Mardan, Charsadda and other parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
