New monsoon spell enters upper parts of Pakistan, rain predicted

Monsoon spell has entered the upper parts of the country, after which, rain has been predicted in various cities of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

According to Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), widespread dust-thundershowers/rain with isolated heavy falls accompanied by windstorm are expected in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore, Sargodha, Faisalabad divisions, KP (Malakand, Hazara, Peshawar, Mardan, Kohat, Bannu, D.I Khan divisions),

Kashmir (Muzaffarabad, Mirpur, Poonch divisions), FATA (Kurram, Bajaur, Mohmand, Khyber, Orakzai) would also receive rainfall while at scattered places in Multan, Sahiwal, D.G. Khan, Bahawalpur divisions.

The weather in Gilgit-Baltistan will also turn pleasant.

On the other hand, drizzling in Karachi cooled down hot weather whereas intermittent light rain continued in PECHS, North Nazimabad, Federal B. Area and Gulistan-e-Johar.
