At least seven people, including five members of the same family, were killed in two separate road accidents in Sahiwal and Phalia on Friday.
According to details, the five family members were killed when their car collided with a trailer at the Grand Trunk (GT) Road in Sahiwal. The family was returning from Khanewal to Lahore.
Three other people were also wounded in the accident.
On the other hand, two people were killed and one wounded when a speeding dumper ran off the road and crashed into a hotel at the Gujrat-Sargodha Road in Phalia.
Electricity polls also fell due the hit, plunging the entire city into darkness. The driver of the dumper escaped the scene.
