The doctors all over Punjab, including Rawalpindi, have decided to launch a step by step campaign against inadequate facilities and neglect of administration towards the dreadful conditions at hospitals.

In the first phase, doctors will press the hospital administrations to take notice of insufficient medical facilities. If the hospital administrations failed to cooperate with doctors then the second step of the campaign will be put into action in which the doctors will hold massive demonstrations at the district level.

According to Rawalpindi Young Doctors Association (YDA) President Dr Haider, the government hospitals lack appropriate medical facilities. He also said the Punjab government has expressed its desire to implement a uniform policy at all government hospitals, but effective measures to provide basic medical facilities to the patients are nowhere to be seen at government health facilities in Rawalpindi. Punjab government should improve basic medical facilities at government hospitals, he added.
