ISLAMABAD – Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani on Wednesday asked the Balochistan chief minister to approach veteran Baloch leaders for wooing ‘estranged’ groups of the province.
Gilani expressed his hope that the tribal elders could work for greater reconciliation between the government and the dissident group. The PM said this in a meeting with Balochistan CM Aslam Raisani at his Chamber in the Parliament House.
He said the government has withdrawn army from troubled areas to create a congenial environment for starting political dialogue. He assured the CM that the government would ensure timely completion of the development projects under way in the province.
The prime minister also directed the provincial government to provide fool-proof security to the company working on Gawadar-Mastung railway line.
