Five development schemes worth Rs. 3289 mln approved for province

Punjab Provincial Development Working Party approved five development schemes of various sectors with an estimated cost of Rs. 3289.000 million.

These schemes were approved in the 43rd meeting of Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) of current fiscal year 2015-16 presided over by the Punjab Chairman P&D Board Muhammad Jahanzeb Khan.

The meeting was attended by Iftikhar Ali Sahoo, P&D provincial secretary, members of the planning and development board, provincial secretaries concerned and other senior representatives of the relevant provincial departments.

According to spokesman for P&DD, the approved development schemes included establishment of video conferencing facility for Punjab government at the cost of Rs. 381.372 million, establishment of citizen facilitation and service centre (E-Khidmat Markaz) at the cost of Rs. 1248.976 million, enhancing capacity of Sheikhupura Drain RD 0+000-73+000, Sheikhupura at the cost of Rs. 844.811 million, raising and strengthening Sanawan Flood Bund RD 0-42+000 and embankment along T.P. Link Canal RD.6+700 to 18+500, district Muzaffargarh at the cost of Rs. 259.665 million and construction of J-Head Spur at RD 20+000 and Guide Head Spur at RD 25+000 Maggasson Branch D/S left Taunsa Barrage, Muzaffargarh at the cost of Rs. 554.176 million.
