An Anti Terrorism Court (ATC) on Monday handed over three alleged terrorists of a defunct organisation to the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) on a six-day physical remand.

Earlier, the CTD produced three alleged terrorists Ghulam Nabi, Esa Khan and Tariq Mehmood before ATC- IV Judge Chaudhry Muhammad Ilyas in strict security and request for their remand which was granted by the court.

The investigation officer told the court that the accused belonged to global terror group Islamic State (IS) and were arrested from two different locations in the city on Sunday.

He submitted that explosive material, detonator and literature were seized from them and they wanted to target different installations.

The court handed over the accused to the CTD on six-day physical remand and directed to produce them again on expiry of the remand period.
