Pakistan Railways (PR) has announced three special trains from Karachi to upcountry to facilitate people planning to travel for Eidul Fitr.
According to details, the reservation process for the Eid trains that will operate from Karachi has been initiated. The Karachi district coordination officer reviewed the reservation arrangements.
People started to arrive at the railway station early morning for reservation.
On July 3, the first special Eid train will depart for Peshawar at 11 am, the second for Faisalabad and Malakwal whereas the third train will leave for Lahore on July 4. The booking process will continue for the next few days.
The railways sources said that there was a great demand for tickets for the regular trains and the department was unable to meet the increasing demand. As such, the minister for railways decided to run three special trains from Karachi to upcountry to facilitate the people to celebrate Eid at their hometowns with their families.
