Minister of State for Privatisation Muhammad Zubair said it is a golden opportunity for the Pakistan Muslim League- Nawaz (PMLN) to fight the reference filed by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) in the Election Commission of Pakistan and to falsify the allegations.
The minister said the PMLN government has been repeating that the solution of every national problem should be found through talks at appropriate forums and not on roads. “In parliamentary democracy, issues must be discussed at legal forums,” he said.
Zubair said all the issues should be resolved according to the law.
Referring to the recent statement of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto, he said, “Bilawal must remember the corruption allegations against his own party.”
He said the name of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was not mentioned in Panama Papers.
He said the government wants to solve matters through dialogue and parliament is the best platform for this purpose. “Prime Minister Sharif has already used that forum to clarify the things regarding Panama Papers,” he added.
He reminded the PPP of the Charter of Democracy (CoD) signed with the PMLN according to which, the party in power would be allowed to complete its tenure without any hurdles. The PMLN, he said, acted on the CoD during the PPP’s last tenure.
