Jamiat Ulema-e-Pakistan (JUP) leader Aqeel Anjum escaped an attack on Saturday in Karachi.
Anjum’s car came under attack in the Orangi Zaman Town with several shots fired on his car.
The reason for the attack has not been ascertained as yet as further investigations are underway.
On June 23, prominent noha khawan Farhan Ali Waris had claimed he escaped an assassination attempt in the city, hours after famous qawwal Amjad Sabri was gunned down brutally in Karachi.
Waris said his car was surrounded by unidentified assailants near the Teen Hatti area of the metropolis.
“They were about to open fire but left as they noticed my guard positioning himself,” he added.
