LAHORE – Lahore High Court (LHC) on Wednesday asked the govt to file their replies within two weeks regarding arrest of driver who crushed to death Ibadur Rehman.
The counsel pleading the case submitted that three months had been passed, but apparently nothing had been done to arrest the driver and impound the vehicle under which Ibadur Rehman was crushed to death.
LHC Chief Justice Ijaz Ahmed Chaudhry ordered the federal interior and foreign secretaries, Punjab home secretary and inspector general of Punjab Police to file their replies in two weeks.
Ibadur Rehman was crushed to death by a US consulate vehicle which was rushing to help US gunman Raymond Davis after he had shot dead two people in broad daylight.
