NBF to organise its annual Summer Book Club

National Book Foundation (NBF) is planning to organise its annual Summer Book Club 2016 for promoting reading habits among students in the month of July.
An official of NBF told APP that a very positive response is being received from the parents, teachers and students who have highly appreciated the programme of Summer Book Club and eagerly desire to register their children to become a member of Summer Book Club.
“During the sessions of Summer Book Club many innovative activities would be arranged including reading session, marathon reading, story-telling, drawing and colouring activity, question-answer sessions, etc,” he said.
He said that exact date would be announced later, but in the month of July, the Summer Book Club would be arranged for the students.
He said that children will get an opportunity to meet dignitaries and listen to interesting stories.
Apart from developing reading habit amongst children, they will teach new techniques and skills of art and crafts.
However, the stress will be given on supplementary reading material, building conference in children etc.
“We invite all those who are interested in registering their school/students for participation in the activities of Summer Book Club to be organised in the Children Corner of National Book Foundation.
