I would like to present a simple suggestion to the Minister of Water and Power, that is guaranteed to end electricity line losses across Pakistan. He should pass a simple rule that would deduct the percentage of loss of the area from the salary of each employee of the electricity distribution company. The line losses should be covered by the deductions, while the people that are responsible for ensuring no line losses happen in the first place, will be penalised, instead of the consumers, who are penalised not only through load-shedding in their areas, while they are also taxed to cover so called circular debts.

It is universally known that Line losses are due to involvement of the power company's employees itself. One can go and see millions of foot-path shops and restaurants running on Kundas in connivance with the power company's staff who get bhatta for each connection.
