The Supreme Court on Tuesday issued notice to the Attorney General for Pakistan (AGP) over re-inclusion of supermodel Ayyan Ali’s name in the Exit Control List (ECL).

Ayyan had expressed resentment over putting her name on the ECL again, and requested the court to provide her with justice.

During the proceedings, Justice Sheikh Azmat Saeed, while reacting angrily to the move, remarked “is Ayyan a terrorist”. He also questioned have the names of all murder suspects and FBR defaulters in Punjab been included in the ECL.

The judge remarked that everyone was aware of the situation and it wouldn’t be wrong if the interior secretary was sent to jail in this respect.

He said the court knew how to enforce its orders; however the court would not keep silent if the implementation was not done.

The court, while adjourning the hearing till next week, issued notice to the AGP.
