According to Hindustan Times, films Hero No. 1, Biwi No. 1 and Coolie No. 1, which star Karisma Kapoor, Salman Khan, and Govinda, will be seeing a remake. Producer of the three popular films Vashu Bhagnani hopes to start with the popular No. 1 series, before venturing into remakes of other 90s classics.
Reportedly, the cast is in the process of being finalised and filmmakers are confused between casting Ranveer Singh and Ranbir Kapoor for the lead role of Hero No. 1.

However, the No. 1 series is not the only set to see a remake. Filmfare reported Amitabh Bachchan-Govinda starrer Bade Miyan Chote Miyan will also see a remake.
Although the director is yet to be decided, the producers are leaning towards Akshay Kumar and Sidharth Malhotra as the leads. The pair was seen together in action-drama film Brothers (2015).
