PM Nawaz to return to Pakistan next week

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, following open heart surgery in London,  had his first medical checkup the other day.

According to reports, it is likely he will return to Pakistan in the coming week.

Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting and Senator Pervez Rashid told private news channel that the Prime Minister is feeling better.

Earlier, the prime minister even went for a walk outside his home in London.

PM Nawaz had his first post-surgery checkup at Harley Street Clinic, the same place where he had the bypass.

Doctors seem to be satisfied with his fast recovery. Following his next medical checkup, it is likely he will be allowed to travel overseas and return to Pakistan.

Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs Tariq Fatemi along with Rashid briefed the PM on all political issues encircling Pakistan.

He was also updated on the Torkham border tensions between Afghanistan and Pakistan.
