The Employees Old Age Benefits Institution (EOBI) is planning to disburse pension among its beneficiaries through Automated Teller Machines (ATM) cards.
According to official sources, the EOBI pensioners would start receiving pensions through ATMs from August 1.
The main objective of the revolutionary step is to enable the EOBI pensioners to get their pension in a hassle-free environment.
The new initiative of EOBI would save its pensioners from standing in long queues for getting money.
The pensioners have been advised to bring their original Computerised National Identity Card and original pension book to their nearest branch of Bank Alfalah for registration.
The pensioners’ registration process has already been started from May 23 and would continue in over 600 branches of the bank till July 31.
