Six Railway stations reconstructed, rehabilitated in first phase: Saad

Minister for Railways Khawaja Saad Rafiq has said that a complete turn-around of Pakistan Railways has been realised and efforts are now underway to make it a profitable institution.

He was addressing the ceremony to mark rehabilitation work of Nankana Railway Station in Nankana Sahib on Sunday. He said that the income of Railways has increased 100 per cent from Rs 18 billion to Rs 36 billion in three years.

He said that the number of train passengers has also increased to 10 million. He said that six railway stations were reconstructed and rehabilitated in the first phase.
