Afghan deputy FM to visit Islamabad on Monday

An Afghan delegation led by Deputy Foreign Minister Hekmat Khalil Karzai is to visit Islamabad on Monday for discussion on the issues relating to Torkham border crossing and matters pertaining to border management.

The visit is taking place in response to an invitation by Advisor to Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz to the Afghan National Security Advisor and Foreign Minister.

In a statement, Foreign Office has welcomed the visit. It said Pakistan looks forward to meaningful deliberations through a constructive engagement between the two sides with a view to promoting bilateral relations as well as peace and stability of two countries and the region.
