LAHORE – Before the shifting of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Lahore’s staff to the newly-constructed NAB Complex in Thokar Niaz Baig, snakes have occupied the building and have started to make their appearance from different corners of the complex. During the last four days, three snakes (including a nine feet long) appeared from the different corners of the newly-constructed complex and were killed. No snakebites were reported.
The NAB Lahore staff started shifting to the newly-constructed complex on April 5 and this shifting is still in process. NAB had purchased about four hundred kanals of land to construct a multi-purpose complex in Thokar Niaz Biag. A major part of said land is still barren. There are numerous holes in the barren land, where snakes and insects have made their homes and come out often in search of food. The people working in the complex are under the fear of snakebites after a frequent appearance of snakes in the complex.
