In yet another case of sexual assault on minor, a 15-year-old girl was allegedly raped by her neighbourhood youths in front of her younger sister in Kasganj district.
The incident, which took place on Tuesday late night in Nadarai village, came to light on Thursday when victim along with her parents visited senior superintendent of police of the district.
“On Tuesday night, while my parents were out of town to visit our relative home in Kanpur district on death condolence meet, our neighbour’s son along with his friend barged into our home with an intention to outrage my modesty,” the victim said in her complaint to the police. “The assliants — Santosh and Sunil — grabbed me and my sister from behind. They tied limbs of my eight-year-old sister and then forced themselves on me. They raped me one by one in front of my sister,” the victim narrated her ordeal.
When TOI contacted deputy superintendent of police and circle officer of Kasganj City, Sabir Haider, he said, “The SSP ordered a probe into the matter after meeting the girls. We have taken the written statement of the girl and the investigation has already started. In the evening, our team will visit her home.”
“It has been learnt that one of the accused fled to Delhi on the intervening night of Tuesday and Wednesday, after allegdly sexually assaulting the vicitm at around 11pm,” he added.
Meanwhile, the police have detained Sunil and are questioning him. By the time this report was being filed, the girl was yet to be sent for medical examination to ascertain the incident.
