Police on Tuesday arrested 20 people, 15 suspects and five gamblers, during separate operations besides recovering weapons, drugs, cash and gambling material from them.
According to reports, a police team on a tip-off raided a gambling den in Yakatoot locality of the provincial capital. During the crackdown, five gamblers were arrested with pistol, cash and other gambling material.
Meanwhile, heavy contingents of police conducted search operation against the outlaws in Kotwali and surrounding areas of Peshawar and apprehended 15 suspects, including three people living in rental houses who avoided submitting their documents despite repeated notices and warnings.
The police also recovered arms and drugs from the possession of the nabbed suspects who were being interrogated.
Sounds like the police did a good job. Great to see the police get some bad people off the streets. Hopefully the drugs and weapons stay off the street now.
