The police arrested 39 suspects during raids in different parts of Karachi on Monday.
The police carried out search operations in different parts of Manghopir area of the city. Thirty-five suspects were taken into custody in these raids and shifted to undisclosed location for interrogation.
A large number of weapons, explosive material, ball bombs and chemicals were also recovered in the raids.
Two other suspects were rounded up from the jurisdiction of Baldia Town police station. Weapons were seized from the arrested persons.
The arrested suspects are being investigated by the law enforcement agencies.
Meanwhile, two suspected street criminals, identified as Sadiq and Gulzar, were arrested from the jurisdiction of Preedy police station.
