A large number of locals, including women and children, protested on Monday against the water shortage and no power supply for two months in Ibrahim Hyderi.

The Parco road was shut for all kinds of traffic as irked locals burnt tyres as part of their protest against the allegedly corrupt and slack government.

The locals also raised slogans against the administration. A resident complained that they have informed authorities numerous times but they took no action.

The residents of Hyderi area have set up a protest camp outside K-Electric’s local office and have vowed to not let the administration budge them until their demands are met.

However, no movement has been seen from the government to assure the protesters of cooperation.
