ATHENS – Nigeria international Olubayo Adefemi has been killed in a car accident, the Greek Football Federation have announced. Greek media report that the 25-year-old Xanthi defender skidded off a road on Monday morning while driving to Salonika to finalise arrangements for his wedding.
Adefemi joined Xanthi from French side Boulogne last summer and had made 24 league appearances this season, scoring twice. “The Greek Football Federation expresses its grief at the untimely death of Nigerian international and Skoda Xanthi footballer Olubayo Adefemi in a car accident.”
