In yet another episode in a history of vile manipulation, the Indian foreign affairs establishment has gone ahead and pursued a rational, coherent foreign policy, which has already started showing results like the recent address of Prime Minister Narinder Modi to the US Congress.

“We have already filed our complaint to the Secretary General of the United Nations,” said Riaz-ul-Hassan, spokesperson, Foreign Office, speaking to reporters in Islamabad. “A rational policy, developed keeping national self-interest in mind is a weapon that many in the neighbourhood do not have, fundamentally upsetting the balance of power in the region.”

“We would also like to bring to the notice of the international community, Mr Modi’s jettisoning of outdated security paradigms and effectively extending olive branches to traditional rivals like China,” continued Riaz-ul-Hassan. “And trading most, if not all, security concerns for trade interests and people-to-people contact.”

Sources in the Ministry of Defence, on condition of anonymity, said that the concern is genuine. “If left unchecked by the international community, India’s unfettered bridge-building diplomacy might extend to Pakistan, where the Indians might end any and all antagonism against us and do not react even in the slightest at our alleged “transgressions”, which will effectively render us helpless.”
